Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha 8 or better) is commonly seen as one of the most difficult but well-loved poker variations. Omaha hi-low starts like a normal game of Omaha. 4 cards are dealt to each player. A round of wagering follows where players can wager, check, or fold. Three cards are dealt out, this is known as the flop. One more round of wagering happens. After all the players have either called or folded, an additional card is flipped on the turn. a further sequence of wagering ensues and then the river card is revealed. The players will have to put together the strongest high and low five card hands based on the board and hole cards.
This is the point where a number of players get baffled. The lower hand wins half of the pot, as just like the higher hand. When there’s no lower hand available, the high hand wins the complete pot.
