Web poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players acquire five cards. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s first card, you have to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original wager, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantly to the bank. After the wager comes the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, plus a sum in accordance with the original wager. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The house pays out money equal to your initial bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
