Web Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

June 5th, 2020 at 21:25

Gus Hansen had an amazing year on the WPT where he was the only gambler to make it to the last table in 3 of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may recall one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker history up against Daniel Negreanu. He raked in a large pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Gus has earned many televised poker appearances and is thought to be one of the strongest players in the world. While playing internet poker, a different side of Hansen has appeared. Gus regularly plays in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen generally buys in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very weak. He waits for a decent hand and then goes all-in. I believe Hansen is an outstanding poker player but not even close to the familiar players at 200/400NL. Unless Gus is broke, he has no reason to sit at the table with the min buy in.

Buying in for the minimum takes a majority of the skill out of big stack poker. Gus is supposed to be one of the best players in the world but he can’t buy-in for the total amt.. I think television can alter our view of the real world every now and then. The greatest players anywhere in the world could be players you have never heard of. Gus can be seen wagering on internet poker on Full Tilt. He normally plays in big stakes omaha eight-or-better and hold’em. Gus has proven himself as a tournament player. Can he use his talents in cash rounds?
