Poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its television scores. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the house instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the dealer announcing "No further bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course every one of the different players attain five cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you must either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s value is akin to your beginning ante, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes directly to the house. After the wager is the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a figure on par with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The bank pays out cash even with your bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
