Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with ancient origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the western in an excellent game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the croupier, not like almost all other poker games that gamblers bet against other players. By gambling against the dealer, starting players do not have to fret about any other, more advanced gamblers winning their mulla.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game pace, beginners are able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make quick choices.

It is also easier to play for a long time with only a small amount of cash after all, to lose, each of your hands has to be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is given 7 cards faces showing and the dealer is dealt 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand must be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the casino’s.
