Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the wild west in an awesome game for early level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the house, not like nearly all other poker games that players bet with other players. By competing against the dealer, new players do not need to fret about any other, more experienced people winning their cash.

Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively leisurely game play, newcomers can take their time and strategize without needing to make quick decisions.

It’s also much simpler to enjoy for a long time with only a small amount of money after all, to not win, each of your hands needs to be under both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the house is given 7 cards face down.

One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be larger than the casino’s.
